Tartan Mania

I love me some tartan, especially when it’s vintage! I have been wanting a good, tailored tartan blazer for a while and couldn’d find anything I liked. So, when I recently went vintage hunting with mom and sissy, I found so many gorgeous items and this blazer was one of them. It’s tartan! yay! And it’s yellow/mustard; one of my favorite colors ever! I love all colors, but mustard for some reason has got my heart!

Since it’s still cold here in Montréal and winter is still lingering, I figured, this is the perfect opportunity to wear this blazer! It’s a Jones New York blazer…still in such a beautiful shape!

This is how I wore this bad mama:

I paired it over a think black shirt from Forever 21 and skinnies tucked in knee-high boots. My favorite boots ever! They’re so freaking amazingly comfortable and stylish! Love ’em!!!

What I wore:

BLAZER: Jones New York (vintage) ♥ SHIRT: Forever 21 ♥ JEANS: Forever 21 ♥ BOOTS: Nine West

This is a thicker wool blazer, so it is a perfect winter/spring transitional piece. It offers so much style but warmth at the same time. I am so happy I found the perfect tartan blazer. For some reason, I am into tartan printed anything….that and stripes…you got me down!

This time around, vintage hunting was a super success and I cannot wait to show you the rest of the items I got.

Mixing more patterns…round 2

So obviously, as you have noticed in my previous posts, I have a fond love for mixing patterns, textures and motifs together often in a lot of my outfits. I feel like this is the perfect way to express myself without boundaries and plus it’s an awesome all-round creative process. Sometimes I feel like my outfits are a hit and sometimes I feel like they’re a miss. Today’s was pretty awesome; super proud of it! Plus I felt all covered up in the right places. I am having some body issues at the moment because of too much hot yoga..I feel like I have Pelé thighs or something. Too much muscle…I’m a little self-conscious about that part, so covering it up is always a good idea. Especially when I am sporting skinnies.

So this is how I decided to mix my stripes and checkers together. It was a little cold, and the combination of shirt & sweater was perfect.

And of course you guys have seen these booties many times in many posts because I have been wearing them to death since I got them.

What I wore in details:

-Zara checkered shirt.
-Garage striped shirt.
-Forever 21 skinnies.
-Aldo booties.

Cozy, warm and stylish outfits in the most boyish, relaxed way…are the outfits I love the most.

Food Style

What we do on weekends…

Food is always a good way to share happy memories with friends and family. It’s basically one of the only times where you sit in groups and enjoy each other’s company without rules, boundaries or limitations. Food is a social activity and so we humans take this time to share our ideas and thoughts about life and share our points of views about the things we love. My friends and I are always on the hunt to trying new food and to be quiet honest..sometimes we’re amazed by how awesome the food is and sometimes we’re just meh…not too impressed. We decided that this weekend we would try Russian food. I was a little scared because I did not know what to expect, but luckily it turned out pretty good.

We went to a little restaurant called La Caverne on Côte-des-Neiges in Montréal. A homey Russian restaurant with the cutest decor. It’s small and very humble…perfect for intimate dinners. The place was filled with people and there was a live band, well a couple singing in Russian and sometimes English music. The atmosphere made me feel comfortable and cozy, it almost felt like being home.

I had Borscht soup and Chicken Kiev. The Chicken Kiev was super good. It was well cooked and super tender. The potatoes were so well seasoned and the salad sauce was super delicious. Unfortunately, we ate some much there was no room for dessert. But if you’re looking to experience Russian food for the first time and you’re in the Montreal region, I suggest you try La Caverne. It’s worth it…and the prices aren’t bad!

So I can’t just talk about food…I want to also share what I wore for this night out in town…it was rainy and a little coldish…we style wasn’t gonna be compromised by that! Not with me here’s what I wore:

What I wore:

-Topshop striped shirt with side slits.
-Forever 21 stressed denim.
-Zara leopard booties.
-Antique necklace from Jerusalem.

If you guys are looking to eat super hearty food..then this restaurant will be it for you. You’ll for sure enjoy the cozy feeling of the place and the staff will make you feel right at home.

Till next time x

Fashion Style

I wanted to share with you my favorite go-to looks. The days when I don’t want to be dolled up and dress with heels and layers, I just go for something simple, boyish and super relaxed. This look is so me..added with a leather jacket. Um! So awesome 🙂 I always felt like I was meant to be on a Harley, but I just ended up behind a computer selling vintage and sewing dresses for a living (which is pretty awesome, don’t get me wrong!). This is the main reason why I super adore this shirt, because it represents what I truly believe in.: girls with power and confidence to follow their dreams and make shit happen! I’m a feminist but not to the point where I think men and women are made to be equal. We each have a part to play on earth and we each have our strengths and weaknesses and this is why I think we need each other, sort of like a puzzle…Anyway that’s so beyond the point of this blog. Nonetheless, I truly believe that girl power is about mental capacity and willpower. If you truly believe you can do anything and go for it, then this makes you a #girlboss. Going after what you love without hesitation or fear, then this makes you a #girlboss.

This is how I believe I feel the best as a girlboss. The look right here makes me feel powerful, confident and kickass.

What I wore:

-Top from Rebel Sugar.
-Jeans from Forever 21.
-Boots bought on a recent trip to a little shop.
-Watch from Caterpillar.

Cheers, and stay awesome girls xx

Into the basics…The perfect black pump.

One shoe, two outfits!! Here’s a look into my closet…well ish! A little fragment of it. So I am currently obsessing over my black heels from Aldo (they’re currently on sale) and I have been wearing them a ton. They’re comfortable and versatile. Easy to match to anything due to its black color, duh!! Also, the sun has been giving me an extra oomph to want to dress up all the time. Thank you sun <3.

This is what I call an investment piece, it’s a good leather black shoe that can last years in your closet (obviously if you look after them and maintain them in good shape). You don’t have to spend loads of money on designer heels…this is a basic piece that can be worn in many different ways.

So these are the outfits I came up with this time around. Hope you like them!!!

What I wore:
-Forever 21 coral dress..I purchased like 2 years ago.
-Forever 21 denim jeans.
-Vince Camuto studded leather belt.
-Aldo heels (the whole purpose of this post!!).
-Betsey Johnson sunglasses.

What I wore:
-Lucky Brand large sweater.
-80s vintage Equimeent floral silk shirt.
-Joe Fresh boyfriend jeans.
-Aldo heels.
-Betsey Johnson sunglasses.

Fashion doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. You can absolutely work with basics and go from there. Vintage is great way to diversify your closet, help nature and look freaking awesome and unique.

Have a great sunny and healthy week ahead.

Animal planet

Been feeling sick a lot this year but lately I’m on a high…so excited and so full of energy!!! It’s probably all the vitamin D I have been getting. So I felt like dressing awesome and connecting with nature in my own way. My friend Cristina is super patient with me. She’s the one behind of the camera most of the time. Hi Cristina!!!

Anyway, back to the outfits. I am sharing with you today 2 outfits I wore with animal prints on them. PS: I have a huge huge weird obsession with bird prints, for some inexplicable reason. Both these outfits make me happy.

I have had these items for about 4-5 years and they still look pretty damn good! 2 dresses I purchased purely for the prints.

So without further ado, here are the results:

What I wore: Max C Bird print dress I purchased from Winners ages ago – Forever 21 skinnies – Shelleys London straw shoes – Betsey Johnson sunglasses

What I wore: Queen dress I purchased from Ebay like 2-3 years ago – Tommy Hilfiger skinnies – Aldo Heels – Aldo sunglasses

C’est la vie!

The cold weather decided to creep up again this week. It has been a little chilly, so our little sweaters are out again for another tour. I feeling a little adventurous and decided to opt for a cool street style look with a little nonchalance just because the weekend is right around the corner. And also, I so didn’t feel like being tight or being in heels, so I said carpe diem, I am going to rock this outfit today and this is what I came up with. I was actually super happy and super comfortable with my outfit.

I felt so comfortable I decided to sit on the floor…lol!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

What I wore:

– Tartan plaid long vest from Forever 21
-C’est la Vie top from Ruche

Feeling girly

This Betsey Johanson dress makes me want to twirl all day long. I was kindda iffy about the print because it’s darker than what I am usually drawn to, but I bought it anyway and I am so happy I did. It’s such a lightweight dress that is super super comfortable to wear on hot summer days. I decided to wear it as a top since it is a little bit short. This is how I decided to give this baby a go.

ANDDD also, I wore my favorite Charles & Keith sandals…ahhh!! So in love ˂3 I have been looking for these sandals for a little while now and when I finally found them on the Charles & Keith website, I didn’t hesitate and bought them right away…And they’re officially now on sale.

Excuse the creasing…sitting doesn’t help the fabric too too mcuh but I am in love regardless…

Also, I wanted to quickly mention that I love my skin at the moment, I have no foundation on and it’s super glowy..I decided to invest in the Sunday Riley’s Good Genes treatment..totes worth it…but that’s another blogpost…

What I wore:
-Bestsey Johnson dress.
-Betsey Johnson sunglasses.
-Forever 21 Jeans.
-Charles & Keith sandals.
-Thrifted bucket bag.
-On my lips: Kiss Kiss Bang Bang by Marc Jacobs.

Until next time!

Cheers xo

Barefaced & free

The sun is finally settling in and the hot weather is slowly creeping in and I am so happy that I finally get to soak up some vitamin D and get a little color instead of looking bland and yellow (whilst protecting my skin  with SPF obviously). I also love to go barefaced nowadays and let me skin breathe and get rested. No makeup is always an option I like to choose anyway. It’s simple, it’s easy and it’s healthy for my skin. Plus, I get to fall in love with my modest simple self..even though sometimes my skin is naughty and wants to rebel.

This is the greatest time of year to get your bold prints and light colors out while prancing happily enjoy the sun. This is exactly what I did today, I was literally prancing going to my appointments and work…can’t help it, the shoes made me do it X)

This is what I wore:

This is originally a dress I bought while on vacation in the Middle East and I fell in love with it because of it’s vintage style and bold print. Today, I decided to wear it as a top and cinch it up with a metal leaf belt I bought off of Ebay for like 2$ because I needed it for an event.

-Sunglasses: Kate Spade
-Dress: Splash
-Jeans: Forever 21
-Shoes: Forever 21
-Belt: Ebay

I really liked this outfit and wanted to share it with you. Hope you like it too.

Until next time!!

Cheers xo
