This scent is a little different from what I usually go for. However, when I smelled this at the airport a few weeks ago, I fell in love with it. This Paco Rabanne perfume smells divine. It’s definitely very feminine. It’s sensual, powerful, addictive and very fresh.
The reason why I say this is usual for me, is because of the sweet floral scent it has. It lasts all day and not in a headache kinda way. It’s powerful but not to the point of making you nauseous. Your senses will not be disappointed if you purchase this baby…even though it’s on the high end/expensive side. This runs for 115$ CAD for 1.7 oz. It’s totes worth every penny. Your senses will love it as it is bold and unique.
I am not usually a sweet perfumes person but this is not too too sweet and it will not turn you off. I am a total perfume junkie and I collect them like crazy and I am super glad that I made Olympéapart of my collection because it is a gorgeous mix of warm and fresh notes that can be perfect for any season and any occasion. It can be a day perfume as well as a night one. The bonus; it has great staying power and the bottle is super sexy!!
If you’re looking into buying a new perfume for yourself or as a gift…you should take the time to check this baby out. You’ll love it!!
I cannot stop sniffing on my new perfume…a friend of mine (so generous of her) got me a Sephora gift card and well since it was my birthday, I got myself a new perfume, knowing that I really need one (not!) This is beyond yummy. It’s totally delicious and sensual and overall sexy.
The Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon is a blend of vanilla bourbon, oakwood, and a hint of tuberose. These notes are quite bold and oriental. It’s has a special woody scent that is intoxicating in a provocative sexy way. What I love about this perfume is that is has the duality of feminine sophistication and masculine edge. IT’s sincerely one of my favorite perfume at the moment. It’s strong but not too strong that suffocates you. You can smell it all day because it’s one rich mofo. It’s an unpredictable scent with a punch.
I am also not gonna lie that I am a total sucker for the bottle…the unexpected amber toned bottle is beautiful (ahhh!!!) I don’t know why, but this bottle makes me melt. It’s like a timeless architectural building. So fancy! The price is obviously on the high-end side but I say if you want to smell good, you gotta pay up. I bought the 1.0 OZ bottle for 82$ CAD and my pocket was hurt at first…but since it was my birthday, I figured, why not?!
If you’re looking for a sexy, sultry, provocative perfume..then this is your match. I could keep going on for ages about how incredible this perfume is..but I’ll leave up to you guys to go try it out at Sephora…y’all won’t regret it.
Have any of you tried it? Or have found the one perfume you cannot live without? Let me know in a comment down below!
Here I go yet again with another post about Marc Jacobs…but I can’t help it, everything he does is just magical!!! I had purchased a few of the Marc Jacobs fragrances when I was in university and keep using them for a while. I was a big fan of the Daisy perfume. It was a fragrance that suited me at the time. If I now wore this, I would be feeling a little too girly…not that it’s a bad thing, but I prefer muskier “masculine” scents now (although this isn’t how I would describe Decadence). I purchased this new Marc Jacobs perfume a month ago and this is how I feel about it…
The perfume is described as follows:
A sensual, luxurious, and woody fragrance, Decadence embodies the spirit of irreverent glamour. The fragrance opens with sultry top notes of Italian plum, iris flower, and saffron. The heart combines luxurious notes of Bulgarian rose, jasmine sambac, and orris. The indulgent dry down reveals the base notes of vetiver, papyrus woods, and liquid amber.
I have been using the Miss Dior Eau De Parfum for a few years now and it’s a very demanding and heavy scent for those who are used to light floraly perfumes. Like I said, I like musky scents that give of a little hint of masculinity (a little like Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb for men…secretly..I’ve used it…not so secret anymore). Okay so, Decadence is a perfume beyond anything I have used. It’s a very unique fragrance. I mean the notes are very peculiar and just all over magical. I smell hints of vanilla, of jasmine but in a woodsy/musky way. It’s a light yet heavy scent..a little ambery and surprisingly a little sweet. The smell lasts all day!!! Like literally all day. Don’t go heavy on spraying it, because with 2-3 spritz, you’re set. It’s definitely not a scent for everyone, but for me it works and I wear it day and night (as opposed to my Miss Dior..which I only wore on night outs).
Overall this perfume is sensual, magical, feminine, opulent, surprising and delicious. I feel like a badass woman who can conquer the world. It makes me feel super seductive and sexy in a very subtle way. Everyone who took a little sniff of this perfume fell in love with it. Now, this baby runs about 115$ CAD for 1.7 oz, but for me it’s totes worth it. A little goes a long way and if you’re looking for something totally unique, it may be worth giving this a try.
I know that scents and perfumes are particular to every person, this is why I suggest you try it out before committing. I usually go into Sephora, spray perfumes I am interested in on my wrists and continue shopping in the mall. After a few hours, If I still like the perfume I sprayed and the lasting power is great, then I invest in it. Fragrance isn’t something you can buy out of impulse as you need to see how well the perfume sits with you. There are two main reasons for this. One: Because all perfumes are composed of a top note, a middle note and a base note; these notes will change over time (if you keep the perfume for too long). The top note you notice when you first spray the perfume on the card will totally change as the fragrance evaporates and this is why I suggest you spray it on your wrists. Which leads us to point number two…Now two: your body chemistry has a major effect on a fragrance. What smells heavenly on your sister/mother/friend may not necessarily work for you depending on how your body reacts to the fragrance.
Before y’all get bored, I will stop here, because I got carried away giving you a chemistry 101 lessons on fragrances…
If any of you are on the hunt for a new sexy perfume, I suggest you go into a Sephora near you to smell this baby out.
