23 Oct Not just another blazer….
My husband’s been enjoying his discovering journey to Canada and has been loving every moment of it. Seeing him discover my home and see the world I come from is so adorable and touching! He’s so cute and I can just put him in my pocket!!!
So…while on this discovery journey…how can I not take my husband to go apple picking?? I mean this is the ultimate Canadian tradition and he must follow in those foot steps. So we went on a little road trip to Saint-Eustache to a cute little farm called Verger Lacroix. We spent a few hours picking apples, walking around the farm and visiting the animals.
Although it was raining that day, we had loads of fun and went with the family…it was one of the best days we spent so far in Montreal.
I decided, even though it wasn’t the most appropriate place, to dress up kinda fancy…but in a casual relaxed way. I decided to incorporate some vintage in there and some thrifted items. Here’s how it came out.
This blazer is on of the blazer that my momma got me while I was away..it’s such a cute piece. It’s an 80s Parisian satin blazer. It’s very comfortable and adorable to wear over anything. I can imagine wearing it over a fancy red dress!!! OOOoouuu, that would be so freaking cute!
PS: for those interested..I am putting this blazer up for sale on my Etsy store. A percentage of each sale goes to random acts of kindness!! *wink*wink*
WHAT I WORE
BLAZER: 80s vintage ♥ JEANS: Thrifted ♥ SHOES: Converse ♥ BAG: Kate Spade ♥ NECKLACE: Vintage (from the 70s…my mom’s!) ♥ BELT: Calvin Klein
I thoroughly enjoyed taking pictures that day..I am not a photographer by any means but I love exploring and experimenting with different mediums and I enjoyed taking all the colors in and different textures. Nature is a beautiful creative space and I love that we are free to see and discover here at home.
Unfortunately, there are some places in the world where there are bridges and borders and some people are not as blessed as we are here in Canada to travel. This land is filled with amazing opportunities and I am truly blessed to be a part of it! And I am very proud to show my husband around so he can also see what I see. Canada is a great place to live in!
