It’s been a hot minute since I wrote a post, I have been super busy with life and a big change coming up soon…I have been lacking style and inspiration. All I wanted was to hide in a hole half the time and stay dressed in my PJs. Sometimes, life takes us in directions and way we never thought we’d end up in or see….and sometime that change is good but sometimes it isn’t but we just gotta deal with it…because we’re human and we survive. Okay, moving on for this little ramble, today I was quite inspired and felt like I needed to dress up and be cool again and bring back some color into my life. So what better era to be inspired by than the 80s! I am an 80s child and color, texture, patterns were all the craze. I felt like Cyndi Lauper-ing my outfit today and this is what I came up with:
Now, it’s still a little cold in Montreal and the weather has been a little crazy…acting all schizo. So layers were much needed…and this is what I decided to wear all these crazy layers and colors and added texture and depth to my outfit; being a little generous never hurts! I am pretty such most of you already saw this dress before, as I wore it for a Valentines day blog…but this time around, I wore it as a shirt and added this freaking coolest killer 70s pleather belt ever!!! When I saw this belt in the vintage shop, sitting all alone in the corner shelf with layers of dust on it, I knew I needed to save it. I fell in love ❤ This is an absolute treasure and I have no idea why it was sitting there in the dust.
WHAT I WORE:
JACKET: Danier Leather ♠ DRESS: Zara ♠ BELT: 70s vintage ♠ JEANS: Forever 21 ♠ SHOES: 70s vintage ♠ RINGS: Vintage (minus my wedding band) ♠ SUNGLASSES: Guess
Can we take a moment and all admire this delicate vintage Italian satin fuchsia kitten heel. Super adorable and super retro; it totes adds a little je ne sais quoi to every outfit. These Chanel inspired 70s heels were a purchase from the Nova boutique in Hudson and this is the first time I wear them out. It sincerely feels like I have nothing on my feet. These shoes were the perfect addition to my outfit to really bring out the inspiration I had when putting it together; definitely Cyndi Lauper material with all the layers and the crazy colors.
So to all my girls who just want to have fun; don’t let anybody stop you for wearing whatever the heck you want. Cheers x
