All I see is lines…

I got this skirt a little while ago from Topshop because obviously it’s striped! I have an unhealthy obsession with striped items…anything striped…socks, bags, skirts, pants…anything striped sees a home in my closet!! Fo’ sho’!!!

So this skirt not only caught my attention for the print, but also for the design. I totes fell in love with the cuts and the slit. It’s feminine and super on point. It’s the right piece to wear when you have an important meeting. It gives you style and a professional look. It goes with everything and you’re not limited to styling it…feel free to wear it with another print! It would look good, promise!

So this baby should have been included in my monthly favorites because I want to wear it all the freaking time….but it would be just too abusive. This is how I styled my skirt. I originally wanted to wear it with a polka dotted shirt…but it was almost too beige with the white and I didn’t like it too much. This is how it turned out! I will link up a few places you can find a similar option, because I know this skirt is no longer available at Topshop. There will be options from affordable to expensive depending on your taste.

September Beauty Favorite!

Yesterday I shared my September fashion favorites and today I wanted to share my top 5 beauty favorites of the month. Products I have been giving extra love to. Although this month has been really rough on my skin, I have managed to keep things under control. For some weird reason, my skin is super super dry, which means it’s super prone to crack and break, which in turn mean it’s super prone to breaking out because dirt get in easy. This leads to me talk about my first favorite because it sincerely saved me from turning into a pizza face again.

  • GM Collin’s Hyrdamucin Optimal Serumimg_9733

This literally saved my scaly flaking skin! It made my skin’s textured less abrasive and less bumpy. My skin was lacking loads of moisture and this serum helped in restoring it. The serum is not too heavy and it has a gel consistency. It sinks into the skin beautifully, does not leave any oily residue and smells super wonderful. This is perfect for all skin types and is beneficial to drier skins because it reinforces the skin’s moisture barrier by hydration. The long lasting moisturization increases the skin’s ability recover and bam!!! you get smooth and healthy looking skin. I got this baby for about 65$ CAD but you can find it on AMAZON for a little cheaper.

  • Regenerative Nourishment Serum-in-Oilimg_9734

A super little product! It does what it promises to do. It totes rescues the hair and restores its healthy appearance. IT makes the hair so soooofft!!! I cannot tell you enough how soft my hair has become since using this. After I wash my hair, I spread three to four pumps of serum-in-oil between my hands and run them through my hair; I usually like to concentrate on the tips (which are usually the most damaged).  The little bad boy is a savior! You should try it and you will not regret it. And it’s not expensive! You can buy this in any pharmacy or right here.

  • Tea Tree oilimg_9746

Coming back to my naughty face…this little potent monster was a must for me this month. It kept the little white heads at bay and helped heal pimples without damaging my skin. When I say it’s potent, I mean it! And you need to be careful using this because it could damage you skin instead of helping it. I usually like to put some tea tree oil on little cotton pad, breaking it with warm water, and then leave the wet pad on the affected area for a little bit. You’ll see that you wake up the next morning and the stubborn pimples say goodbye. You can get this at any pharmacy and it’s not pricey or you can shop for some at AMAZON.

  • The perfect Bite Set & KAT VON D Studded Kiss lipstickimg_9737

And the award for best lipsticks goes to the perfect Bite set and Kat Von D’s Cathedral. I am cheating here and adding 2 lip products because I have been wearing these and only these this month. Between the lip kit and the studded kiss lipstick, I haven’t done anything else. The Bite Amuse Bouche lipsticks are divine!! They’re moisturizing, they have a creamy finish and they’re simply delicious. They’re comfortable to wear all day! My favorite out of this little kit is Pepper. It ‘s like my lips but better and I love it!!! Kat Von D’s cathedral is a beautiful borwny nudeish color which I have already spoken about in a previous blog post. They’re both sample sizes and I will definitely repurchase these in full size.

  • Sephora’s Waterproof eye makeup removerimg_9735

This is one is a solid! It removes your makeup flawlessly. Great product really. I got this as a sample but I love it so much, I might purchase this one in full size. It’s the best makeup remover I have used to date and it doesn’t hurt or irritate my sensitive eczema prone skin.  A tiny amount goes a long way and it’s affordable compared to other brands I have used in the past. The Sephora Waterproof Remover gets five stars on my end.

⊗ ⊗ ⊗

So these are the 5…6 beauty products I have been loving this month and I will continue to use on the daily. I am not much of a makeup user but I do adore my mascaras and lip colors. You will never (or almost never) see me use foundation, because I am not interested in blurring my skin. It’s not a judgement; it’s just a question of preference. But I do love to read everyone’s reviews about them…because it keeps me abreast of what’s nice out there.

What have you guys been loving this month?? Share them with me in a comment below!

September Fashion Favorites

This is a first favorites post for me and since I haven’t done one of these before, I feel quite thrilled to share it with you guys. I will not have a long long list of endless favorites items. I just wanted to share my top 5 favorite fashion items of this month. Items I have been loving to death and have been wearing endlessly. Without making this intro too too are the 5 items I couldn’t live without for the month of September.

1) My huge ass heavy necklace from my recent trip to Palestine:

This is one heavy baby!!! I couldn’t for the life of me keep it on all day. It’s beautiful but fantastically heavy. I bought this baby in a recent trip to Jerusalem while shopping some antiques shops.  It’s a great accessory because it helps finish any outfit to perfection. It adds a Je ne sais quoi to any outfit and make something simple seem so exquisite. It’s unique, it’s special and it’s super poetic in a visually artistic kinda way.  If you’re looking for something similar and along those line, you can find it here.

2) My favorite favorite marsala colored light knit dress:

I cannnnnottt ever stop wanting to wear this dress. I got it on a whim thinking it would be a great transitional piece from summer to fall, because of the color and because it’s light. I was scared that this color in particular would made me look like a great ole’ pumpkin, but seriously though, this is the most beautiful dress I own. I found it in Winners for about 24$. The fit, the comfort, the length, the color…everything about it is perfection. It’s stylish and so me on so many levels. You can find something similar to this here.

3) My ultimate favorite flat oxfords.

I have has these bad boys for about 2 years now and they’re still going strong. I find that these shoes offer timeless style. They’re perfect in every way possible. They’re cut out oxfords from Charles & Keith. I had bought these when I was on vacation in the Middle East and they were discounted for about 60$. I bought them knowing I would keep them for a long time because they sincerely offer fashion and style. They’re definitely a statement piece but in a good way (they’re not too out there). They’re comfortable and they can be worn with dresses, jeans, name it! With and without socks and stocking. I wore them almost daily this month and they still look brand new! (I’m pretty sure y’all noticed them in my blogs X) If you’re looking for similar oxfords, then you’ll find your match right here.

4) My Coach clutch/mini bag.

A recent new addition to my wardrobe. I got this with a gift card I receive for my birthday and I so do not regret splurging on it. This is the perfect size clutch bag. It offers style, space and versatility. The color is super unique and the design is damn awesome. It’s subtle not to so much that it’s muted. I wear this bag with anything and everything. It’s pricey but well worth the money, really! Coach always has cool little things here and there and I took a chance getting this one and I do not regret it 🙂 You can look at more of its details on their website.

5) Last but not least my favorite ring ever!

Okay so I bought this ring when I participated in an even recently and this cute little designer was exposing her work. I when to her kiosk. She’s talented and if I could have bought all her pieces, I totes would have!!! Like no joke! Everything she had on the table was to die for. Her pieces are well worked and invested in. You can super see that she loves what she does and has a huge passion for it. I got this ring for 85$ CAD and she was nice enough to give a 10% discount. I love the color contrast between the materials. The copper and the sterling silver is a perfect combination. Her pieces are minimalist yet very geometric, which I absolutely adore!!!! I haven’t taken this ring off since I got it. You should check out her work right here and maybe you’ll get a little something for yourself.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Please feel free to let me know what your fashion favorites have been this month in a little comments below.

Until next time xx

OH!! PS: here’s an extra picture to show you all of my pieces at work 🙂 (Check my previous post for more details on my outfit).

Marsala queen…

This dress caught my eye the minute I saw it on the rack. The usual color was super attractive. I never go for Marsala because I feel like maybe sometimes it doesn’t suit me (for some weird reason). But when I tried it on, I just fell in love with the richness of the color. It reminds me of earth’s sophisticated roots. Also, the cut! It’s so Romy & Michele! Anyway, This is how I decided to style my dress and I hope you like this look, because I do ❤

To complete my look, I wore the heaviest necklace I own. I bought this baby when I went shopping in Jerusalem in a small antique shop. It’s beautiful but so omg heavy!!! I literally hurts the neck after wearing it for a long time. (I couldn’t last the day and ended up taking it off ^^).

I also wore my new adorable Coach purse, which is not only super sweet but super versatile and spacious for its small size. To be able to last the whole day, I wore my favorite Charles & Keith pointed oxfords for a preppy look.

What I wore:
-Pink Rose marsala colored a-line knit dress.
-Coach burgundy small purse.
-Charles & Keith oxfords.
-Aldo sunglasses.

I love this dress so much, I will try to get my hands on different colors.

This scent is a little different from what I usually go for. However, when I smelled this at the airport a few weeks ago, I fell in love with it. This Paco Rabanne perfume smells divine. It’s definitely very feminine. It’s sensual, powerful, addictive and very fresh.

Notes: Green Mandarin, Ginger Lily, Hydroponic Jasmine, Salted Vanilla, Sandalwood, Ambergris.

The reason why I say this is usual for me, is because of the sweet floral scent it has. It lasts all day and not in a headache kinda way. It’s powerful but not to the point of making you nauseous. Your senses will not be disappointed if you purchase this baby…even though it’s on the high end/expensive side. This runs for 115$ CAD for 1.7 oz. It’s totes worth every penny. Your senses will love it as it is bold and unique.

I am not usually a sweet perfumes person but this is not too too sweet and it will not turn you off. I am a total perfume junkie and I collect them like crazy and I am super glad that I made Olympéa part of my collection because it is a gorgeous mix of warm and fresh notes that can be perfect for any season and any occasion. It can be a day perfume as well as a night one. The bonus; it has great staying power and the bottle is super sexy!!

If you’re looking into buying a new perfume for yourself or as a gift…you should take the time to check this baby out. You’ll love it!!

Till next time x

Sunday Cathedral

I got this lipstick in a points exchange while shopping at Sephora. I was always curious to know what the hype was all about with the Kat Von D line. I never actually purchased any product from there because I was and always will be a Marc Jacobs kindda gal. So since this was available to try, I figured why not give it a go. The leather little pouch came with 2 eyeliners in the color black and brown and with a little lipstick sample in the color “Cathedral

The color is a matte brown with a rose undertone color. It’s beautiful! I always wanted to try brown but was scared it would make me look dead since I am olive skin toned. But when I first put on this color, I felt like it really complimented my skin tone rather than making me look fad and zombie-like. What I love about it is that it’s brown but not super brown. It’s soft on the lips and hydrating…does not dry out your lips nor irritate them. The full size lipstick runs for 26$ CAD in Sephora. It’s part of the Studded Kiss Lipstick collection. Now here’s the real question…would I purchase this in full size? I say yes I definitely would. I am super in live with it and this color makes me happy despite the fact that it’s a neutral.

Now this lipstick color inspired me to dress like a free spirited animal..and this is what my outfit looked like today:

What I wore:

Gap Overall – Thrifted leopard print top – Zara bow shoes (I got while on vacation in Jerusalem) – Kate Spade sunglasses.

Have you guys tried the Kat Von D lipsticks and if yes, which ones did you like?? Leave me a comment below so I can try out more.

Until next time,

Cheers x
